V-Guard was started in 1977 as a small scale Voltage stabilizer manufacturer and have grown to become one of the most trusted companies in India with a range of products. V-Guard was planning to expand their network, so they want to know about the current status of the existing IT infrastructure.
The existing IT infrastructure installed at the company has proved insufficient for the manifold increase in their day to day functions. The company decided to expand its network and was on the lookout for an IT partner who could analyse the weaknesses in the existing system and suggest solutions for enhancement of its operational efficiency.
(Their major problem was that their application was running very slow in turn adversely affecting the entire productivity of the organization. We analyzed the network architecture, Cabling performance, Server Performance, Host Performance and provided a detailed report on the issue with suggestion on how to resolve the problem. This was very helpful for V-Guard to invest on the necessary areas in order to enhance the performance of the system )
Key Challenges
Soffit needed to study the existing infrastructure inclusive of cabling, Network architecture and server performance. The company wanted to have expert guidance in running their application. Soffit had to adopt an integrated approach to analyze the quality of the cabling system, capacity of the user systems and server utilization. Soffit had the challenge to perform an effective Network Audit by understanding physical and logical infrastructure, Network Architecture, Security Architecture, critical Network devices, critical Servers and Applications.

Soffit Technical team conducted a Network Performance Audit for their IT Infrastructure. The network audit analyzes the Infrastructure and reviews the architecture to identify any potential bottlenecks or vulnerabilities. This analysis was essential to determine the adequacy and effectiveness of the IT Infrastructure to support the IS, which are in place, to the organization.
The detailed study undertaken by soffit established that the major reason for the application running very slow was due to faulty cabling. Soffit provided a detailed report on the issue and with suggestions on how to resolve the problem with the relevant details. This was very helpful for the company to invest in the necessary areas in order to resolve the issues.
